Caboolture hub
You are warmly invited to the opening celebration of Vision of youth, an exhibition created by 17 young people participating in The Saturday Club, a transformative 7-week program at Caboolture Hub.
The participants of the Saturday Club are from the Moreton Bay region and beyond, aged from 14 to 20 years old, who self-nominated to participate in the program which aims to demystify the Visual Arts industry. The Saturday Club program enables members to go behind the scenes and get an insight into the careers and lives of people working in the industry; exploring opportunities within the visual arts, making artwork and learning arts management skills to reflect their unique voice and vision. The Saturday Club members chose the exhibition title 'Vision of youth' rather than 'Visions', which demonstrates how these young people have learnt to work collaboratively throughout the program while still valuing their own uniqueness. This exhibition forms part of National Youth Week Celebrations, and the day will be filled with opportunities for visitors to get a taste of what The Saturday Club has involved. Saturday 6 April will come alive with artist workshops, careers counselling, Pathways panels, live music, jumping castles and much more.
