The Conservator
Kelly Leahey is a paper and photography conservator. She is currently an Exhibition Conservator at the State Library of Queensland (SLQ), seconded to the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), Sydney.
Kelly completed a Postgraduate Certificate of Photographic Materials Conservation and Master of Cultural Materials Conservation (Paper Specialisation) at the University of Melbourne in 2010, after graduating with a Bachelor of Creative Arts Honours at the University of Melbourne in 2004.
Following graduation in 2010, Kelly worked as a Graduate Photograph Conservation Intern at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and Foto Restauratie Atelier (The Netherlands), before completing an Andrew W Mellon Fellowship in the paper conservation lab at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
