Perspectives: Jon Cattapan and eX de Medici

Perspectives presents the unique insights of two leading contemporary Australian artists whose work captures Australian Defence Force personnel involved in peacekeeping operations, evoking a clear sense of their experiences and the magnitude of the soldiers' tasks.

Commissioned by the Australian War Memorial, Jon Cattapan travelled to Timor-Leste in July 2008 and eX de Medici to the Solomon Islands in March 2009. The artists created a series of works that reveal a personal vision, artistic style and their reflections of the Australian experience of war and peacekeeping.
