Analysing Art - For Visual Art Teachers

Professional development: Free online workshop designed for secondary Visual Art teachers.

Join Dr Leah King-Smith and Dr Charles Robb (QUT School of Creative Practice) to develop your visual analysis skills and strategies to apply in the classroom.

Addressing Indigenous knowledge, this workshop will focus on methods of visual analysis to help teachers prepare for the forthcoming Visual Art extended response examination. Drawing on a selection of significant works from Rite of Passage, a QUT Art Museum exhibition curated by Shannon Brett, this interactive workshop will offer practical ideas for applying visual literacy strategies in the classroom.

Participants will also receive a link to view the exhibition lecture by curator Shannon Brett.
